Zoning Ordinances
Land use is regulated in all shoreland areas in Iron County and throughout the townships with comprehensive zoning. The zoning department regulates the permit process for new building, structural alteration, change in land use, land disturbance, cutting trees & shrubs near the shoreline, boathouses, shoreland setback, shoreline alteration, and more.
