The Iron County Land & Water Conservation Department provides financial and technical assistance to private landowners, municipalities, and towns for a variety of shoreland conservation practices through the Land & Water Cost-Share Program. Technical assistance includes:
In some cases, assistance will be needed from the Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) and Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) engineers and civil engineer technicians or outside engineering firms. Grant funds may be utilized when additional funding outside of the county is necessary.
